AGM Aquatic Therapy Program
Aquatic Therapy

AGM Physical Therapy offers aquatic therapy and rehabilitation our of our Mentor office. Our ideal location inside the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club allows access to the club's heated Olympic size swimming pool. Prior to entry into aquatic therapy, an AGM Physical Therapist will carefully evaluate your condition on land. This will help determine your baseline level of function and injury severity, and will aid in determining the most appropriate exercises to use in the water. Staying true to our roots as a private practice, AGM therapists will be actively in the water with you to ensure comfort and proper exercise technique. Our pool class sizes are maintained to only a few people in order to deliver appropriate care to our patients.

The pool itself has shallow water on either end that surround a deeper area in the middle of the pool. This allows for limited weight bearing activity (shallow) or weightless activity (deep), depending on the needs of your specific condition. The pool has a gradual ramped entry with a railing, and even has a waterproof wheelchair if needed. A lifeguard is on duty at all times.

The staff at AGM will orient you to the procedures involved with the aquatic therapy program once you have been evaluated. This includes a walk-through of the facility, check-in protocol, location of locker rooms, and what to bring/wear to your appointments.
